Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield was one of the most popular insurance providers that Californians chose at Covered CA, the insurance marketplace for California. Blue Cross Blue Shield is a national conglomerate of state insurance plans and is often considered one of the top national health insurance providers along with WellPoint, CIGNA, Aetna, Humana and United Healthcare. It is estimated that the top five national insurance companies cover nearly half of the national population.
Although Duffy’s has been accepting PPO (out-of-network) insurance for all providers since the fall of 2013, going in-network with Anthem BCBS will help thousands of additional people in northern California afford quality treatment.
