Continuing Care Program for Addiction Recovery at Duffy’s in Northern California

At Duffy’s Napa Valley Rehab in Northern California, we recognize that recovery is a lifelong journey. We are grateful when guests choose to come heal with us, and we are honored to be a part of our guests’ healing process. However, we recognize that the goal of treatment is to allow individuals to resume their everyday lives, and so we are proud to offer a number of continuing care options that can aid individuals in their lifelong pursuit of sobriety and freedom from drug addiction.

As with all of our interventions, we emphasize individuality in determining appropriate continuing care plans. Each person’s struggle with substance abuse is unique, and so we do not employ a one-size-fits-all treatment approach. Rather, each person who comes to us for care works closely with our dedicated treatment team to develop a plan that addresses his or her specific needs and goals. This individualized care is especially important during the discharge process.

We begin discharge planning from the very first day of treatment. A smooth discharge into the care of treatment professionals in an individual’s community can mean the difference between building on the progress that a person has made while in treatment or relapsing and having to start over again.

To that end, we meet regularly with each of our guests to discuss discharge plans. Some of our guests choose to discharge to sober living communities or into the care of their original referral sources, such as a therapist in their local community. No matter what each guest’s plans are, all discharge plans are discussed carefully and are designed with that person’s needs and desires at the forefront. All of our guests’ discharge plans are individualized and may include participation in 12-Step groups with a sponsor or a fellowship program like Refuge Recovery, SMART Recovery, Celebrate Recovery, LifeRing, etc.

Many of our guests have found such success in treatment that they wish to continue to stay with us and build their recovery skills even further. For these individuals, we are proud to provide Extended Care, our long-term treatment and relapse prevention treatment track. Individuals in this program stay with us for 60 to 90 days and continue to build on the progress they have already made in treatment. Guests in the Extended Care Program are able to dive deeper into the 12 Steps and gain a deepened and broadened understanding of their substance abuse and how to maintain long-term sobriety.
