DUFFY’S IS PRIVILEGED TO HAVE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE THIRD ANNUAL “FORE THE KIDS” GOLF TOURNAMENT!
We sent a foursome to drive at the beautiful greens of Eagle Vines Golf Course. We hit our first ball (and the very first ball of the tournament) in the water, but that meant it could only get better from there. We ended 5 under par. The winning team’s score was 12 under (apparently they don’t like to see golf balls splash in water).
HELPING THE BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF ST. HELENA AND CALISTOGA
While the golf was all in good fun, we wanted to be able to give back. The tournament helped support the Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Helena and Calistoga. The clubs provide a “safe, positive and unique place for children to learn and play.” They also serve both St. Helena and Calistoga with a Youth Diversion and Intervention Program that assists at-risk youth and minor first-time offenders.
In spirit of the 12th Step, it is our desire to give and love without expecting anything in return. It was our privilege to contribute in this small way to the children in our community, and we look forward to many more opportunities in the future.
