What is the Goal for Alcohol Awareness Month?

The goal for Alcohol Awareness month is to raise awareness and to support recovery.This is a time dedicated to support prevention, research, education, intervention, treatment and recovery from alcoholism and alcohol-related disorders. The NCADD urges all Americans to recognize the damaging effects of alcohol abuse and renew their support for individuals battling to overcome addiction by helping to raise awareness and participating in educational events.

What is the Theme for Alcohol Awareness Month?

The theme, “Help for Today, Hope for Tomorrow,” is focused on providing immediate help for those struggling with addiction and connecting people with supportive recovery communities so they can achieve long term sobriety.
